One of my goals for 2019 was to keep a running ranking of every movie I watched this year. That way I wasn’t spending too much energy trying to figure out how I felt about a movie from January when December rolled around. I still ended up shifting some of the movies at the end but it was much easier starting out with a baseline.

Now, before you see my rankings and become appalled, know that these rankings are based on my own personal opinion and what I enjoyed vs. what I didn’t. Those higher on the list are movies I am going to feel more comfortable recommending or movies that spoke to me on a personal level.

These movies were all OFFICIALLY released in 2019. Some were screened in 2017 or 2018 but they weren’t widely available until 2019.

I’ll link to the reviews if I did one for that movie. (They’ll open in another window.)

I’ll also highlight in Red any movies I’m higher on than the critic consensus. I’ll highlight in Blue any I’m lower on.
