What’s going on with Christian Wood’s minutes and why should you read Shad’s interview with Kyrie Irving?

We’re back, folks! We took another short break here for the All-Star weekend after that tragic showing on Wednesday and like Luka, we are going to try to enjoy our break but we decided to show up today (sort of).

In this episode, we talked about the All-Star festivities, my Gamecocks who wore Mavs uniforms, and our expectations for the end of the season. The big topic in this episode was Christian Wood, however.

Since coming back from injury, Christian Wood has been coming off of the bench and that has not made sense to us. Besides this, the discourse surrounding Christian Wood online has suddenly turned negative after being positive for most of the season. It seems we went from everyone clamoring for him to start at the beginning of the year to suddenly looking for reasons to dislike him. What’s going on? Reese and I dove into this topic.

We of course went through our weekly segments, with Reese making a very interesting choice for the Unsung Hero of the Week and Weatherman Bibs delivering the Weekly Forecast.

At the end of the episode, we welcomed a friend of the show Shad Miller who recently had a sit-down interview with Kyrie Irving. Shad talked about the interview, his biggest takeaways, and what he hopes comes from the insightful chat with the Mavericks’ new superstar player.
